THANK YOU...I could not have reached this without you!

Hello my friends!  Boy do I have exciting news!

20170722_000114814_iOS

I reached a big goal of $100K in career sales and could not have done it without each and every one of my amazing customers!  This was waiting for me when I got home today and could not wait to share it with you!  When I started this journey 12 years ago, I was joining just for the discount.  Over the years I have met some life long friends and crossed 3 states doing it!  The one thing that has been a constant is my love to share stamping and everything in between!  If you are a past or current customer of mine  - thank you!  You make this job easy!

I would love to have you celebrate this milestone with me, so I have a treat for you!  All orders placed online on my site, no matter how big or how small, till July 31st, 2017, will receive a package of our beautiful Faceted Gems for FREE!!  Have you seen these Gems?!?!  If not, let me show you:

Gold

Clear

Of course the pictures do not do them justice, but they are so pretty!  To get your package of Gems for FREE, navigate to my site, use hostess code 7A6SKT9U and place an order.  The gems will be sent directly to you in August.  How easy is that?  (This offer is only available thru my website and the hostess code must be used)

I thought it would be fun to share a project that I have had from the very beginning.  When I first started, Stampin Up! still had a catalog that was separate for our beloved scrap bookers.  (who remembers those?!?) When I first started doing parties and classes, one of the first requests was a scrapbook page party.  Below is one of the very first pages I designed on my own and have it displayed in my room:

It still makes me smile looking at it because I remember how proud I was when I was done.  :)  Do you know that feeling?  I hope so!

Again, thank you - I cannot continue to do this without your support and hope you enjoy the free Gems too!

Until next time!

Don't overlook that odd looking stamp set...

So I know it's been awhile...a long while.  :)  Since we last met, WE HAVE A BRAND NEW ANNUAL CATALOG!!!  If you have not seen it, you need to let me know so I can get to you, your very own copy!

When I got to see this catalog for the first time, I ALWAYS check for my beloved Lovely As a Tree stamp set.  Oh I just love this set, have you seen it?  If not, please let me show you:

Lovely as a Tree

Lovely As a Tree #128655 (wood mount) #127793 (clear mount)

I can't imagine if I will ever get tired of this set - it is so beautiful and a must for every good stamper!

Ok so back to the new catalog!  There is one set I need to call out because when you see it, well it's just not pretty.  LOL  Let me show you:You move me

You Move Me #144002 photopolymer

When I saw this, I thought for sure Stampin Up! fell off their rockers.  I mean what's with the odd looking butterfly and humming bird?!?!  Well let me tell you - this set WITH their matching framelits are AWESOME!!  This set is designed to be an action card meaning when you pull the imagine behind the grid framelit, the butterfly and humming bird will appear to be flying off the page!  Yes, it is so cool and delights all ages!!

This was new to me so I went ahead and created a video of the card in action, as well as some tips to make the card!  Here is a link to that video:

Here is a better picture of just the cards:

You move me

These are so fun to make and love how they coordinate with the new Petal Garden Designer Series Paper pack.  What I love best about this pack is the size - it is 6 in. x 6 in. so an excellent size to work with!  I love how the images seem to be flying out of the flowers, what do you think?

I hope you love it just as much as I do and I am already playing with the framelits to see if I can make other stamp set appear to 'come to life'.  Oh the possibilities!  Let me know if you have any questions, would love to hear from you!

Until next time!

Candy boxes for all!

Hello my gorgeous friends!  I am finally getting directions done for you to make your very own candy boxes in any length you want!  These can be made for any holiday, any occasion or just because!  Here is what they look like:

  20170331_215125497_iOS

So for this size, it was large enough for 5 chocolate eggs.  Here are the measurements needed:

Candy box2

I scored mine at 1/2", and then 1 1/4" on one side, then flipped it around 1, then 2 so you have the exact opposite side of where you just scored, and score again at 1/2" x 1 1/4".

Now turn the sheet once so you are looking at the long side vertically.  For this, you will score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4" and 3".  When you look at the longest scores, you will see that one section is slightly more narrow than the other four sections.  This small section will be where you apply a long strip of tape.(When you look at the photo above, it will be the top of the photo box that needs adhesive.

Now start folding where you see your score lines.  I like to call this 'folding in' to form the box.  BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF THE TAPE, (you can tell something big is coming up, right?  LOL) punch your window!  Yes, I have forgotten to do this and there is no way to punch it, if you forget.  You will be punching on the second section from the bottom, or directly on the opposite side of the tape.

Now you can peel your adhesive and assemble the box.  At this point, it should resemble a tube, so the next step is to seal an end.  To do this, you will fold in the edges, kind of like a milk carton and staple or adhere any way you like.  I thought washi tape would be cute too, but in my example, I used a staple! Now you can fill the box with treats of your choice.

Next, you will fold the remain opening and seal as you did the other side.  The rest is to decorate as you see fit!  Fun right?  Here is another version I made with some brand new, never before seen, DSP that will be available June 1st:

Candy box

There is a lot of new in this photo so take it all in!  See the web-looking copper ribbon?  Yes, I said copper!!  you can keep it neat or tear it appart like I did above.  It is so awesome!!  And the new DSP...well the photo does not do it justice!  So cute!  This version was made to fit Rolos and I was lucky enough to find a bag of spring colored Rolos too! (in the exact shades of my paper of course!)  To adjust for the size, you need to measure the widest part of you candy.  For my Rolos, the widest part was 7/8" so that is what I designed my box with. You will need to have 4 sides, that each equal your measurement, the I scored at each 7/8" which I have indicated above.  I know, someone is saying 7/8", really?  LOL  You could get by at 1" for each side, your candy will just fit loosely.

As for the length, that can be any size you like.  What you need to remember is each end needs to be scored at 1/2" and 1 1/4" so the minimum size will need to be 3 1/4" to account for your ends.  Does that make sense?  If not, I can help you out if you like.

So get to creating - they are so fun and EASY!  You will be on the look out for what candies could fit too!

Until next time!
